On 25 September 2026, MedEWSa and ARTEMis will co-host a Policy Roundtable on Multi-Hazard Early Warning, Preparedness and Operational Uptake at the Limassol Municipal University Library, Cyprus. The event is chaired jointly by Jürg Luterbacher (MedEWSa coordinator), Elena Xoplaki (CMCC – MedEWSa, ARTEMis) and Nikos Passas (ARTEMis coordinator, CPoPA).
After an opening session on MedEWSa’s achievements and ARTEMis’s strategic outlook, two thematic panels will structure the day: one on moving from early warning to action, operational needs, impact-based information, decision support and communication, and one on moving from innovation to operational uptake, covering interoperability, standards, governance and scaling up. The roundtable closes with a session distilling key messages and recommendations.
The event gives MedEWSa a joint platform with ARTEMis to align priorities as both projects near their conclusion. This is an hybrid event, invited-only.
